The 50th anniversary of the enstoolment of Nana Boakye Tromo III, Oman Hene of Duayaw-Nkwanta was held yesterday, 16th December 2017 at Duayaw-Nkwanta.

There was a mammoth crowd gathered at the Roman Catholic Park to celebrate with the paramount Chief of Duayaw-Nkwanta Traditional Council.

Activities held included display of Culture, drumming and Dancing as well as speeches were heard from invited high profiled personalities.

The guest of honor was His Excellency, the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.

As part of the Golden Jubilee anniversary of Nana Boakye Tromo III, the paramount Chief of Duayaw-Nkwanta Traditional Council’s enstoolment, a beauty pageant was organized on 9th December 2017 in Duayaw-Nkwanta.

Out of the over 20 beautiful and exceptionally gorgeous ladies who participated in the pageant, Nancy Frimpomaa was crown Miss 50th Anniversary that night. Mary Adade emerged the 1st runner-up and Margaret Abrafi Brempong emerged the 2nd runner-up.

The night also saw performances from some skillful dancers and talented musicians from Duayaw-Nkwanta and it’s surrounding towns.

Mary Adade (2nd) – Nancy Frimpomaa(1st) – Margaret Abrefi Brempong (3rd)

The guests of honor at the event was the Queen Mother of Duayaw-Nkwanta, Nana Serwaa Nyarko, and Nana Basoa.

The President of Duayaw-Nkwanta Youth Association, Mr. Samuel Nyantakyi Fosu popularly known as Jawas was the judge at the event.

In honor of the 50th-anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of Nana Boakye Tromo III as paramount Chief of Duayaw-Nkwanta, the committee for the Golden Jubilee celebration organized Akwasidae celebration at the palace of the paramount chief.

The Akwasidae came off on the 3rd December with the Paramount Chief, Nana Boakye Tromo III, Nana Serwaa Nyarko, Queen Mother Of Duayaw-Nkwanta Traditional Council as well as all the Subchiefs in full attendance.

As the Paramount Chief of Duayaw-Nkwanta Traditional Council, Nana Boakye Tromo III celebrates his 50th anniversary of Enstoolment, All the Tribes on Duayaw-Nkwanta stool land gathered yesterday,19th November 2017 to pay homage to the Oman Hene.

Among the activities held was the display of cultural dance by all the tribes and the submission of the traditional foods of these tribes to the Oman Hene.

Very Beautiful and colorful cultural display in the presence of a mammoth crowd.
